Anne Clark Obituary

Anne Macfarlane Clark, 94, was born in Tampa in 1923, and passed away on July 8, 2018.  She was predeceased by her husband, Charles F. Clark; her parents, Howard P. and Carolyn K. Macfarlane; her brother and sister-in-law, Hugh C. and Sally Macfarlane; and her sister, Jean Stanley.  She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn K. Clark; her son, Robert W. (Ellen) Clark; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Rosier and Charles F. Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Clark Rosier and Robert Rosier. She is survived by her niece, Sally (Hal) Wiley, and many nieces and nephews. 

Anne attended Plant High School, and graduated with the Class of 1945 from Sweet Briar College, earning a BA in history.  She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and St. Monica’s Circle.  She served on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Home of Tampa for 15 years. She was a member of the Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club, and the Junior League of Tampa.  She was a member of the Tampa Museum of Art and enjoyed volunteering as a docent.  Anne was a life-long learner and an avid reader whose interests ranged from history to British murder mysteries, to art and archeology. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at the Canterbury Tower Health Center for the loving care given to Anne. 

A graveside Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. After the service at noon there will be a gathering of family and friends at Ellen and Robert’s home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lifepath Hospice.
