Angeline M. Watkins

Angeline M. Watkins, 95, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Friday, July 27, 2018.  She was predeceased by her parents, Henry & Cora Mihalovic; sisters, Mary Kolomaznik, Olga Mihalovic, Cora Mauro and Dorothy Davison; and brothers-in-law, Frank Kolomaznik and Gary Davison.  She is survived by a daugher, Elaine (Thomas) Kost;   her son, James (Judy) Shearer; grandchildren, Kristina (Michael) Nettesheim, Julie (Christopher) Schoneman, and Jay (Sarah) Shearer; great-grandchildren, Max, Paige, Emma, Avery and Norah; many nieces and nephews; and her brother-in-law, Frank Mauro. She was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church and later, St. Thomas Aquinas. Angie was a longtime employee of GAF Corp., and Ozalid, retiring in 1988.  She loved spending time with her family, baking (especially Slovak cookies), reading and doing a little traveling.  Angie enjoyed a very close relationship with her sisters and it gives us comfort to know that they are now all together again.  She was truly a loving, caring, selfless person and we treasure the memories we have of her.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Davison family, caretakers, Greg, Rose and Latavia and the staff of Susquehanna Nursing Home, all of whom have been so generous and caring to Angie during the last years of her life.  We truly appreciate it.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 30, 2018, at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY.  At Angie's request, there will be no calling hours.  Burial will follow in Slovak Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
