Green Burials

Green burials are earth burials in which an individual is not embalmed and is dressed in all-natural fibers, such as cotton or linen. An unfinished wood casket may be used for burial; outer interment receptacles (vaults) are not allowed. The closest natural cemetery to Binghamton is located at Greensprings Cemetery Preserve outside of Ithaca, New York.
