Zena Valerie Fedorwich

Zena Valerie Fedorwich, 30, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Upstate University Hospital.  She was predeceased by her grandparents, Stefan & Valentina Surgent, Sr.; and Paul Fedorwich, Sr.  She is survived by her loving parents, Alexandria Surgent, of Vestal and Paul Fedorwich, Jr., of Binghamton; her brother, Victor Patinha; grandmother, Nancy J. Fedorwich; nieces, Nyla and Anya Patinha; her godfather, Stefan Surgent, Jr.; godmother, Susan Fedorwich; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Also survived by close friends and coworkers, including Christopher, Katelyn, April and Cara.  Zena was a talented graphic artist with a AAS in graphic arts from SUNY Broome,  who loved painting, drawing, jewelry-making, photography and cooking.  Her love for the outdoors found her kayaking, hiking and gardening; and gave her many pets, including a bearded dragon, a dog, a cat and her chickens.   Zena was 8 months away from completing her AAS in nursing. She was a natural caregiver and everybody's angel. Memorial donations may be made to the BC Humane Society or the Ronald McDonald House.  A celebration of Zena's life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
