Vivian D. (Valusek) Scheffer

Vivian Dolores (Valusek) Scheffer, 91, passed away on September 12, 2025.  She was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Harold Scheffer; her parents Stephen and Mary (Oswald) Valusek; sisters Arlene Valusek and Mary Ann Dino. Vivian is survived by five children, Sue Scheffer, Robert Scheffer, Lynn Wilson, Vivian Briggs and Thomas Scheffer.  In addition, she is survived by her 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.  Vivian was a member of The Church of the Holy Trinity and served as a bingo volunteer.  She was a Lunch Attendant at Lincoln Elementary School and a Banquet Waitress at Ramada Inn and Treadway Inn.  She was also involved in various community activities. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect Street, Binghamton, NY.  Family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, St. Judes Children's Research Hospital or the Broome County Humane Society.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
