Valerie Matias, 95, our most treasured wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2025. She is survived by her husband, John Matias; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark & Angela Matias and Craig & Brenda Matias; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie Ana & Robert Randizzi; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church and a retired nurses aide from Hilltop Nursing Home. Valerie was a skilled seamstress, china painter and decorator. She was a founding member and president of her Binghamton HS sorority. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM at SS.
