Theresa (Palkovic) Sebesta

Theresa (Palkovic) Sebesta, 92, went to be with her lord on Thursday, December 25, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Sebesta in 1999, her parents, Stephen and Mary Palkovic.
She is survived by her children, Anne Marie Sebesta, Mary Anne DeWitt (Victor),  John  Sebesta (Pamela); five grandchildren, David and Daniel Dewitt, Jeannie, Bethany and Matthew Sebesta, great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Margaret Sebesta and a special Godchild Joanne (Gerald) O’Donnell
She was a lifelong member of SS Cyril and Methodius Church and its Altar Rosary Society, First Ward Senior Citizens, Czechoslovak Moravan Club, past President of the First Ward American Legion Post 1254 and  the Broome County American Legion Auxiliary,  8/40 Salon 37, past President of the Daniel S. Dickinson PTA and a Girl Scout Leader.  She was a graduate of Binghamton Central High School and Ridley-Lowell School of Business.  She loved every day of her life, her family, baking, traveling and her Catholic religion.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 29, at SS Cyril and Methodius Church 148 Clinton St, Binghamton.  Family will receive friends on at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be held at a later date in Slovak Catholic Cemetery.   Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Theresa Sebesta’s memory.
