Robert F. Lewis, 89, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015. He was a resident of Port Jervis, NY and Riverview, FL. He was predeceased by his parents, George & Anna Lewis; his wife, MaryEllen Lewis; two sons, James M. and George T. Lewis; siblings, Hilda Hinkle, Letha Hennings, Althea Pingorelli, Earl, George and Lawrence Lewis; Donald Decker and Earl John Garrity. He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Lewis and Gina Lewis (Mark Kennedy); 6 grandchildren, Matthew (Jackie) Lewis, Andrea (Todd) Burns, Heather (John) Spear-Sprague, Graham MacDonald, III, Daniel Spear and Jay Townesend; 13 great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie, Ryan, Ashley, Kyle, Damien, Bryan, Amber, Summer, Emily, Travis, Tyler and Amber; great-great grandsons, Karson Rey and Kaleb; his twin brother, Roy Lewis; many nieces and nephews. Robert was known as 'Uncle Bob' to his loving family in Port Jervis; Joyce(Carl) Decker, Earl (Cheryl) Garrity, Emily (Robert) Rink, Graham (Linda) MacDonald, Jr., Ceann (Joe) Miedema; Darlene, Dawn, Mark, Carlene, Brian, Rebecca, Amanda, Katey, Tyler, Corinne, Michelle and Adrianna. Robert was a US Army veteran of WW 2, and member of the VFW. He liked bluegrass festivals, camping, traveling; he was an avid hunter and fisherman. His family will miss his unique sense of humor and his quick smile. Funeral services will be held at on Friday at 11:00 AM at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, NY. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be in Manning Cemetery in Port Jervis at a later date.
