Robert L. Gladhill, 76, lost his battle with Parkinson's on Thursday, May 20, 2021. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul & Helena Gladhill; eight sisters; and five brothers. He is survived by his devoted partner of 34 years, Marie Baer; her daughter, Jennifer Baer; his children, Christopher Gladhill, Mark (Kelly) Gladhill and Marylynn (Tim) Gladhill; 11 grandchildren, Sam, Kendra, Kierra, Gavin, Kinley, Meghan, Colin, Arron, Christina, Caitlyn and Derek. Also survived by his sister, Donna (Dave) Reafsnider. Bob graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, IA. He immediately enlisted in the US Navy for 10 years, while serving his country in Vietnam. Bob retired from the City of Binghamton as a Public Safety Dispatcher. Bob was an active member of the Church of the Holy Trinity, and belonged to the Holy Name, Bingo volunteers, Bereavement group and Children & Families First. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1013, and was a former governor. Bob was also the recording secretary for Teamsters 693. He enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports, going to the casinos and dining out to socialize with everyone. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton. Family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at 11:00 AM. Following the Mass, his remains will be interred at Slovak Catholic Cemetery with military honors. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Holy Trinity.
