Patricia (Tokos) Charpinsky

Patricia Tokos Charpinsky, 83, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.  She is survived by her three children, Candace Zeccola, Cristen (John) Holleran and Michael Charpinsky, III; four grandchildren, John Martin, Jenna Holleran and Zachary and Jacob Zeccola; and her brother, Jerry (Sylvia) Tokos.  She looked forward to time spent doing just about anything with her grandchildren including school activites, day trips and meals with family. She loved her large extended family, especially visits from her nephew, Deacon Jim Tokos, who would share family stories, accomplishments and prayers.  A dedicated NY Yankees fan, Patty was employed as a telephone operator, home health aide and hospital switchboard operator.  She lived according to her faith and was a lifelong member of St. Ann's/Holy Trinity Church.  She was proud of her Slovak heritage and occasionally spoke in Slovak. She loved all animals and had many pets throughout her life, including her special companion, "Munchie". Patty always made sure everyone had what they needed and continued her mother's saying by telling others to "Be Happy Go-Lucky."  She will be greatly missed.  Family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
