Patricia R. Butora

Patricia "Patty Rae" Butora, 66, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her husband and children.  She battled cancer with incredible grace, strength and courage for 18 years. She was predeceased by her mother, Nellie Harris; and her sister, Carol. She is survived by her loving and devoted family, her husband, Ron Butora; her daughter, Stephanie Butora; her son, Christopher Butora; and her grandson, Aidan Butora.  Trish is also survived by her brother, David Hamilton; her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara & Russ Sorenson; several beloved nieces and nephews, including fellow warrior, Denise Shackelford and her husband, Kenny; and her sister-in-law, Dolores Duke.  She was a member of All Saints Polish National Church.  Trish was a retired bookkeeper with over 20 years of service at Hinman, Howard & Kattell.  Her true passion was for style and design, whether it be the way she kept her beautiful home or decorated for the holidays. She added warmth to everything she touched.   A Funeral Mass will be offered at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at All Saints Polish National Catholic Church, 42 Harry L. Drive, Johnson City, with Rev. Dennis Ruda officiating.  Family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of the Mass at noon.  Burial will be at a later date.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lourdes Hospice, 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, NY  13905.
