Olga Jadick

Olga Jadick, 97, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, after a brief illness.  She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Jadick in 1974; 2 sisters, Mary Guralny and Sr. Nadia Baranik, Missionary Sisters, Mother of God; and 3 brothers, Al, Marty and Andrew Baranik. Andy died one week ago.   She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Anne Marie & William Hogan, of Johnson City, and Andrea & Ron Majka, of Binghamton; one son and daughter-in-law, William "Bill" & Ida Jadick, of Sterling Heights, MI; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Hogan, David Majka, Colleen Tetzlaff, Michael Jadick, Michelle Dombeck and Kelly Hoyt; and 10 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 sisters, Dorothy (Teddy) Norovich and Anne Bartnicki; several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Olga was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church and its Mothers' Club.  She was a retired employee of Hinman Dining Hall at Binghamton University.  She was a very special mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she had great ethnic recipes that she shared with her family and friends.  The family would like to express great appreciation to the staff of Susquehanna Nursing Center for the excellent and loving care given to Olga.  Panachida will be recited at 9:30 AM on Tuesday at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton and the Office of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, 360 Clinton St., Binghamton, with Rev. Peter Tomas officiating.  Burial will be in Holy Spirit Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
