Kathleen (Monty) Balcer

Kathleen (Monty) Balcer, 57 of Apalachin, passed away, Sunday October 30, 2016 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous three year battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Nettie Monty; her
brother, Steve Hawk. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Joseph Balcer; two daughters, Nettie and Michelle Balcer; her brother, John Monty; her close cousin, Amy Estrada; and a large extended family. She was a member of the American Legion, Post 1254, Binghamton and a former employee of BAE Systems, Johnson City, NY. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:00 pm at the Bednarsky Funeral Home 96 Glenwood Ave. Binghamton, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Bednarsky Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 13 Beech St. Johnson City, NY 13790.
