Karl Prefario

Karl Anthony Prefario, of Binghamton, passed on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. After a long battle with leukemia, Karl was finally greeted by our Lord while in the presence of his loving daughter, Rachel and her partner, Michael. Karl, a.k.a. "Karl with a K", was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Elizabeth Prefario; his wife, Theresa; and daughter, Rebecca. Karl is survived by his eldest daughter Rachel Prefario; and his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia & Gerald McGlynn. He is also survived by his grandson, Samuel Prefario; many nieces, nephews, cousins and several cherished friends. To know Karl was to be blessed... and if you knew him, you knew he was the kindest and most generous man. Aside from his love for golf, fishing and hunting, he was always there to help a friend in need. His generosity impacted everyone he met and he will be missed immensely. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 16 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 37 Fayette St. Binghamton, NY 13901.  Family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Karl's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital where he donated regularly.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
