Joyce M. (Andrejko) Herlica

Joyce M. Herlica, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 12, 2020, surrounded by her family.  She was predeceased by her husband, Teofil "Ted" Herlica; and her parents, Michael & Margaret Andrejko.  She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia & Kevin Voorhis, and Debra Herlica, of New York City; 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Michael Voorhis; and Joyce's close family friend and caregiver, Matthew Pruitt.   She was a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church and its Altar Rosary Society.  Joyce was a retired elementary school teacher and taught at Woodrow Wilson school for 25 years.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 18, at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass at 10:30 AM.  Burial will follow in Holy Spirit Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to a charity of one's choice.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
