Josephine Solak, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, John Solak, Sr.; parents, Nicholas & Frances Stashko; sisters, Mary Warwick, Patricia Tofte, Alice Carter, Eve Zakri, Louise Fian; and a brother, Stephen Stasko. She is survived by two sons, John and Charles; beloved grandchildren, Samantha and Sabrina; two sisters, Helen Kilmer (Lawrence) and Loretta (Carmine) Crescente; a brother, Thomas Stashko (Stella); sister-in-law, Kay Macko; many nieces and nephews; and a dear friend of the family, Dina Velasquez. Josie was a Real Estate Broker and owned an antique store on Clinton St. with her husband. She was also employed as a bookkeeper for Calvary-St. Patrick Cemetery. The burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 8, 2016 in Section 1 at Calvary Cemetery Johnson City. Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
