John P. ("Uncle Johnny") Snopko

John P. Snopko "Uncle Johnny", 90, passed away due to illness on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Lourdes Hospital. He was born in Czechoslovakia and came to America in 1938, at age 15. He was predeceased by his parents, John & Stephie Snopko and Maria Snopko. John is survived by his devoted sister, Irene Survilla; several nieces and nephews, Andy & Annita Survilla, Rick Survilla, Theresa Williams and Steve Survilla; and his beloved Amos.  
Funeral services were held on Wednesday  at 1:00 PM at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.,  96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton with Rev. Robert Amrhein, OFM Conv., officiating.          Burial was in Slovak Catholic Cemetery.   Memorial donations may be made to the Broome Co.  Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, NY. 13904.
