John T. Jacobs

John T. Jacobs, 65, of Johnson City,  passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 15, 2015.  He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth & Joseph Jacobs.  He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane & Anthony Tomazic, of NC; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael Jacobs, of Johnson City and Joseph & Cheryl Jacobs, of NC; two nephews, Brian and Kevin Tomazic, and 2 nieces, Theresa Sarmiere and Carlene Crispen, and their families.  He was a devout member of the Church of the Holy Trinity and belonged to the Holy Name Society.  John also was a Bingo volunteer.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 11621.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the American Legion Post 1305. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, September 21, 2015, at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton, NY.  Family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers kindly consider memorial donations to the Church of the Holy Trinity.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
