John H. Hattala

John H. Hattala, 99, formerly of Pierce Creek Road, Binghamton entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, December 9, 2016, at Susquehanna Nursing Home.  He was predeceased by his wife Anne; siblings, Mary Kariam, Anna Zabadal, and Joseph, Steven and William Hattala.  John is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen & Michael Leary of Austin, Texas;  granddaughter, Michelle & Michael Seim; and great- grandsons, Ethan, David and Adam Seim, all of Minneapolis,  Minnesota.  He is also survived by his brother, Charles Hattala; sister Julia Patinka; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a member of SS. John & Andrew Church. John was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, including Battle of the Bulge and retired from Endicott-Johnson Corp.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday,  December 14, 2016, with visitation from 9:00-10:00 AM at SS. John & Andrew Church, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
