John M. Franks

John M. Franks, 84, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 11, 2015.  He was predeceased by his parents, Michael & Mary Franks; sisters, Catherine, Shirley, Maryann; and brother, Robert.  He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Franks; daughter, Sherry Iversen & John Wise; 3 grandchildren, Michael, Jessica (Jason)  and Justin Iversen; 2 great-grandchildren, Dylan and Rylan; a sister, Dolores Frayer; brother, Nicholas Franks; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ann Mardirosian.  John was a retired employee of Fairbanks Valve.  He was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  If anyone needed anything fixed, they would call John.  He loved the horses, the racetrack and OTB.  Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the home of Sherry Iversen, 628 W. Wendell St., Endicott, NY  13760.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM, with Deacon Sandra Kadlecik officiating.  John will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
