Joann A. (Coleman) Kelly

On Saturday,  May 15, 2021, our mother, Joann Kelly,  died peacefully under the compassionate care of Mercy House after an extended illness. Joann loved cards of any kind, but especially poker.  At a very early age she honed the exacting skill of anteing, betting and raising under the tutelage of her grandmother. There is no doubt she's found a game and is shuffling at this very moment.  Joann is survived by her daughter, Linda Kelly;  son, Denzil John Kelly;  four grandchildren;  two great- grandchildren;  and her sister,  Kathy Lake. She will be greatly missed by her lifelong friend, Carol Tokos and all that shared her love of cards.  At her request there will be no end of life ceremony, but a life celebration will be held from 12:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, May 23, 2021,  at the AOH, 148 Main St., Binghamton, NY 13905.  Contributions to Mercy House in Joann's name would be greatly appreciated.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
