James Kilcy Obituary

James John Kilcy, 81, of Binghamton, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021.  He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Kilcy.  He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Terri Kilcy; his children, daughter Suzanne (Carmen) Tulino of Conway, SC and son David (Magda) Kilcy of Leesburg, VA; granddaughter Abby Tulino; step-daughter Lauren (Hans) Van Houten of Binghamton and their children Ava and Erich; sister-in-law Gail (Gene) Domin and brother-in-law Craig Titus.  He also leaves behind other extended family members and friends. Jim graduated high school from St. Patrick’s Academy, Binghamton and then joined the U.S. Army Special Forces, becoming part of the first group of Green Berets sent to Laos and Vietnam in 1961.  He was a licensed Architect and practiced for over 40 years, designing many residential, commercial, and other prominent buildings in NY & PA.  Jim held patents on early laser developments and also had a life-long fondness for fast cars.  He raced and won events at Watkins Glen with his AC Cobra.  Jim was happiest when entertaining his close family and friends at his lovely home, greeting everyone with a smile and a cocktail.  He was passionate about his cats and all creatures great and small, generously feeding the wildlife that ventured around his house. Per his request, there will be no services.  Contributions in memory of Jim Kilcy can be made to the Animal Care Council, 131 Washington Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
