George L. Monkovic

George L. Monkovic, 62, of New Market MD passed away Tuesday, July 01, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  He is survived by his wife Cynthia; 3 sisters,  Carolyn and Charles Larrabee, Judith and Richard Anastasio and Lucille and Rodney Chase; as well as many wonderful nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and friends.  George graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and was an employee of Harris Rf, Ericsson and DRS Technologies.  George will be most remembered for his great generosity, kindness, hard work and courage.  Funeral services were held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, NY, and at 9:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton, NY, where a Funeral Mass was offered. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Hospital, St. Peter the Apostle Church in Libertytown, MD or the ASPCA.
