Edward Lakomec, 87, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Elizabeth Church Manor. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew & Helen Lakomec; his sisters, Mary, Olga, Georgianna Petkash and Irene Gazdik. He is survived by his nieces, Mary Hoadley, Cindy Petcash-Grisby (Christopher), and Jeanette Darden; a grandnephew, Andrew Hoadley, all of Virginia; a grandniece, Blaire (Adam) Bell, of North Carolina; and his cousin, Mary Ann Kocak. Also survived by his special friends, Mary Ann Smilnak, Leonard Dudinyak, Patrick Hurley, Linda Kozuboski, Rita Lindow and John Conklin; his spiritual brothers, Rev. Nicholas Kraynak and Rev. John Mikalajunas. He was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church. Ed was employed as a teacher and coach at private boarding schools; Lakemont Academy (Lakemont, NY), Suffield Academy (Suffield, CT), and Kents Hill School (Kents Hill, ME.) He was a Senior Administrative Specialist at Ethan Allen Corp., Danbury, CT. A special thanks to the staff at Elizabeth Church Manor for their loving care of Ed. A private funeral service will be held at the Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., at the convenience of the family.
