Earl R Spaulding, Jr.

Earl (Skip) R. Spaulding, Jr., 74, passed into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2014.  He was predeceased by his parents, Earl & Mary Spaulding.  He is survived by Janice Springer, of Binghamton;  two sons, Jody and his wife, Susan, of North Carolina, and Robert, of Johnson City;  grandchildren, Jarred and Kayla Spaulding and Ryan Tador; great-grandchildren, Jiana and Jayde.  He is also survived by his sister, Alice Niely; his former wives, Sharon, Ellie, Kathy, and her son, Ron; and a nephew.  Skip was a graduate of Vestal High School.  He then entered the U.S. Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1961.  He was an employee of General Electric Corp., GAF Corp., and the Johnson City School District.  Skip was an avid sportsman and NASCAR fan, and was a spectator at many JC athletic events.  He served as the bus driver for many teams, and was always willing to share his opinions about the referee calls during the games.  Skip requested cremation; burial will be at a later date.   Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, NY.    In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the JC Eagles Post 2644 or the JC Athletic Booster Club.
