Dorothy "Dot" F. (Tokos) Macko

Dorothy Frances “Dot” Macko, 92, of Johnson City NY passed away peacefully at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City on Thursday, April 28, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph J. Macko; son, James M. Macko; sisters, Rita Balchikonis, Betty Tokos, Bertha Tokos; and brother, Henry G. Tokos. She was also predeceased by her parents, Amelia and Henry J Tokos. Dot is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Lorraine Macko; son, David Macko; daughter-in-law, Nancy Kaminski (Paul);  grandsons, Jason (Chelsea), Jonathan (Amber), Cameron, Graham, and Morgan; and great grandchildren, James, Daphne and Carmen. She is also survived by her loving sister, Lottie Olszewski; loving sister-in-law, Joyce Tokos; and several adored nieces and nephews. Dot was a very strong, active and loving woman. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She worked as a teacher’s aide in Johnson City schools and as a court clerk in the Town of Union. Dot and Joe were married 71 years and enjoyed many of them traveling together, skiing and spending time with family. They are now happily reunited. A Funeral Mass will be offered a 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 801 Main Street, Vestal NY, where family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass at 11:00 AM.
