Donald E. Lesko

Donald E. Lesko, 84, of Endicott, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, after a heroic battle with cancer.  He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (King) Lesko; and his parents, Anna & Albert Lesko.  He is survived by his children, Karen & David Novobilski, Michael & Mary Alice Lesko, Nancy Lesko, and David Lesko (USN, Ret.) & Dr. Nancy Como-Lesko.  He will be missed by his loving grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer and Jessica Novobilski, Kathleen and Jonathon Lesko, Dr. Joshua Lesko, and Caitlin and David Lesko; and one great-granddaughter, Arianna Harder.  Don was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, and former longtime member of St. Ann's Church.  He was a graduate of BCHS Class of 1949 and was a retired 36-year employee of IBM Corp.,  beginning in Glendale and retiring from IBM Corp., Charlotte, NC.  Following retirement, he returned to Endicott to be close to his family.  An avid bowler, Don was a fixture in several bowling leagues in the area for over 30 years and was a former winner of the Evening Press Doubles Tournament.  A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, September 14, 2015, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Ave., Endicott, NY.  Burial will follow in Slovak Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church or to Lourdes Hospice.  Family would like to offer special thanks to Don's caregiver, Annmarie and to Lourdes Hospice for their loving care during his final days.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
