Bridget M. Miller, 85 passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband, Guy Mackey in 1962; her husband of 47 years, Peter Miller; her parents, James and Ellen McGurk; and her siblings, Grace Grimes, James and Henry McGurk. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Mackey (Jay Hershowitz) and Eileen Miller Salinsky (Steven);  her grandchildren Kevin, Deirdre, and Kian Salinsky. She is also survived by her brother Peter McGurk (Barbara); her sisters-in-law Rose Gauthier and Lillan Stiner; her brother-in-law John Miller (Virginia); and numerous nieces and nephews. She always dreamed of living in America and left her family in Ireland to emigrate to the US in 1952. She started her family and raised her two daughters surrounded by wonderful neighbors on Doyleson Avenue. She was an amazing wife and mother, a talented baker, a gifted seamstress, and a loving, generous friend. She enjoyed a cuppa tea, bingo, and her beloved Velvet and Hershey Kisses. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Good Shepherd Fairview Home where she spent the last years of her life.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday February 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 207 Hayes Ave., Endicott. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. In lieu of calling hours, her family will receive friends on Tuesday February 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Traditions at the Glen for a Celebration of her Life.
