Brian R. Nemcek

Brian Richard Nemcek, 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Vestal, NY on August 3rd, 2023.  Brian was born to the late Jasper Nemcek and Mary Dranchok and was also predeceased by his stepfather Frank (Mary) Dranchok; his nephew Jeffrey Palmer; and sister-in-law Patricia (Paul) Westfall.  He is survived by his loving wife, Georgia, whom he was married to for more than 54 years; his daughter Alicia (Todd) Campbell; and grandson, Devin Campbell.  He is survived by his sister, Barbara (Calvin) Palmer; stepmother, Bernadine Nemcek; sister-in-law Jacqueline McCrossen; brothers-in-law Thomas and Frank Zembek; nieces and nephews, Maribeth (David) King, Deborah (Brian) Kaminskas, Robert (Cindy) McCrossen, William (Heitor) McCrossen, Tom Zembek, Michael Zembek, Kenneth, Richard, and David Westfall; and numerous cousins. On a regular basis Brian enjoyed spending time and sharing laughs with his Corvette Club friends, tennis friends, and neighbors.  He also embraced family time and caring for his cat Molly.  Known by family and friends as a kind and caring person, Brian always went the extra mile for those around him, lending a hand with a house or car project.  He and Georgia loved travelling and exploring new places, taking several trips across the U.S. and Europe over the last few decades.  Brian retired from New York State Electric and Gas after more than 25 years.
