Barbara (Withers) Sirsen

Barbara R. Sirsen, 89, died on Saturday November 28, 2015. She was originally from Bruton, Somerset England.  She was predeceased by her dovoted husband Paul Sirsen; parents Charles and Florence Withers; brothers Sidney and Reggie Withers; sisters Brenda Gough, Peggy and brother in law Brian Pitts; brothers in law Dennis Dart and Bill Foster. She is survived by her loving daughter Kathryn and Fiancee Anthony Hayes of Binghamton; sisters Beryl Dart and Audrey Foster; sisters in law Judy Withers and Margaret Withers; brother in law Donald Gough all of England; sister in law Josephine Ziemba of Endwell; special nephew Joseph Sirsen of Johnson City; many nieces, nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Church, Binghamton. She loved her dogs and cats and feeding her wild birds. She was an excellent knitter, reader and enjoyed attending antique auctions and antique shops. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10am at the Church of the Holy Trinity 346 Prospect Street Binghamton where a funeral mass will be offered. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at 9am until the time of the service at the church.  Donations in her memory may be made to the Broome County Humane Society 2 Jackson Street Binghamton NY 13903.
