Ann Marie (Plocinski) Zevotek, 64, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2020, at Brandywine Senior Living Center in Rehoboth Beach, DE., after a long, hard battle with dementia and early onset Alzheimer’s Disease. She was predeceased by her parents, Al and Susan Plocinski; and her brother, David Plocinski. She is survived by her two sons and one daughter, Robin (Christina Bryz-Gornia), Timothy (Abbey Zevotek), and Allison (Mike Madison); three grandchildren, Alex Madison, Christian Zevotek, and Jaxson Zevotek, with a fourth grandchild due in the spring. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Meehan (Joseph Meehan); her brother, Frank Plocinski (Heidi Plocinski), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of the Union Center Christian Church where she donned her reflective vest and greeted cars on Sunday mornings. Ann Marie was a devoted, loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, teacher, and friend. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Geneseo and Master’s Degree from SUNY Binghamton. She taught special education for the Johnson City Schools, retiring in 2011. She loved a good book or conversation with family and friends over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. If Ann Marie wasn’t spending time with her children, she could be found taking long walks walking her dog, Gracie, in the woods on Port Road or maintaining one of her many beautiful gardens. She was most proud of her children. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the family has decided to hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Union Center Christian Church, The Alzheimer's Association, or your local library. A very special thanks to the staff at Brandywine Senior Living Center where she received the best love and care throughout her illness. Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
