Adeline Atwater, 99, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Meadowview Healthcare. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam & Hilda Kaminsky; her husband, Ralph Atwater; her brother, Walter Kaminsky; and her sister, Roberta Zavada. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Grisafi; and her 3 children, Nicole Grisafi & her children, Matti, Vivi, Joey, Frank & Heather Grisafi, their 2 children, Mia & Lucca and Katie Grisafi and her child, Kiya; 2 sisters, Jackie Heath and her son, John and Effie Patrick and her children, Mark, Calvin and Felicia; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren & great-grandchildren including Theresa Zavada. She was a communicant of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church and St. James Church and a retired employee of I.B.M. Corp. Adeline loved helping people. She served as a volunteer at her churches as well as at the First Ward Senior Citizens’ Center, sewing, crocheting and donating items to hospitals and other organizations. She enjoyed golfing, but most especially loved being with her family. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 148 Clinton St., Binghamton. Burial will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
