Theresa A. (Melodick) Beno (Ghinger)

Theresa Beno (Melodick) (Ghinger), 81, went to be with our Lord on Monday, December 31, 2018, after a short illness following a hip repair.  She was predeceased by her parents, Josephine & Peter Melodick; and her brother, Edward Melodick.  She is survived by her daughter, Gail Ghinger, Owego; two sons, John Ghinger and Carl Beno, both of Johnson City; one granddaughter, Fallon Gilchrist; and great-granddaughter, Riley.  Theresa was a native of Binghamton, attended Woodrow Wilson, and graduated from BHS in 1955.  She loved animals and always had a dog and a few cats around the house.  She loved playing Bingo and the slot machines.  Theresa lived for her craft shows in the Fall, meeting up with her old friends.  She loved gardening, especially her roses. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 12:30 PM at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, NY, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton.  Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Care Council, 131 Washington Ave., Endicott, NY  13760.
