Steven Brusil Obituary

Steven T. Brusil, 87, passed on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.  He was predeceased by his wife, Rita Brusil; and his parents, Steven & Mary Brusil.  He is survived by his 3 daughters, Marlene Hodgson (Don), Darlene Chechatka and Charlene Brusil;  3 grandchildren, Gerald Cleary, David "Bubba" Chechatka (Angel) and Lisa Adams (John); and one great-granddaughter, Makenna Adams.  Also survived by his friend and hunting partner, Dave Csejtey.  Steve spent all of his life enjoying the outdoors.  He and his grandson, David, hunted rabbit in Canada with the dogs; and hunted deer, turkey, ducks, geese, turtles and frogs.  They also fished in the Catskills and the Adirondacks and at David's well-stocked ponds.  Steve enjoyed gardening in his later years, working on his cukes, tomatoes, peppers and beans, but he hated picking pears.  A favorite pastime was sharing hunting stories over beers around the kitchen table, for hours on end.  Dad, Gramps, you will be greatly missed by your family, but your grandchildren and great-grandchild will carry on the legacy so your memory will live on.  In God's arms you will rest peacefully forever, Dad, Gramps; you clearly had a life well-lived.  At Steve's request there will be no services.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.  "He made streams come out of the rock and caused water to flow down the rivers."  Psalm 78:16
