Jane A. (Butch) Ryan

On April 23, 1949, Jane Ryan was given the gift of life.  On December 28, 2017, she was asked to give it back as the result of a tragic traffic accident. She was preceeded in death by her mother, Ann; father, John; and her brother, John Butch. Jane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Lee (partner, Holly Beveridge, her son Jacek); and grandson Braedon Ryan. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Patricia Quick (Stanley), Theresa Ryan (James Mariani) and Patricia Butch; nephew, Chris Butch (Alicia); grand-nieces, Rachel and Megan; niece, Sherri McAndrew (Chris); grand-nephews, Liam and Quinn; niece, Nicole Quick (Frank Castellucci), grand-nephew Zachary Latting; nephew, John Quick (April), grand-niece, Anna Morales; and grand-nephew, Nikolas Morales.  Jane and Michael retired to live in Naples, Florida where they have many close friends they shared time with on the golf course at Heritage Bay.  During the summer they would return to their cottage in Oxford, NY to spend time with family and friends in the area. Jane was a graduate of SUNY Brockport and had a long career in the banking industry including First City and Chase Banks before retiring from Visions Federal Credit Union as the Human Resource Director.  A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, NY.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at 7:00 PM.  Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Beech St., Johnson City, NY  13790.
