Donald Joseph Mikulski, 83, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2017.  He was predeceased by his parents, Edward & Helen Mikulski; 2 brothers, Edward Jr. and William Mikulski; 2 sisters, Delores Adams and Helen Callahan.  He is survived by his sister, Joanne McCormick; his 4 children, Michael Mikulski, Daniel Mikulski, Keira & Rodney Williams and Adam Mikulski;  8 grandchildren, Chesarae Archer, Nathan Archer, David Mikulski, Daseana Barnett, Danel Mikulski, Kira Sullivan, Deanna Wood and Dakeisha Wood; 10 great-grandchildren, Jaron Archer, Janiya Archer, Nathan Archer, III,  Jaden Archer-Williams, Raven Archer, Jaden and Kingston Branch, Julian Adams, Taliq Mikulski and Kendel Archer; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  His sister, Joanne, was left hand to his right hand and they were inseparable.  He was especially fond of his personal nurse, niece, Rhonda Carbone, his niece Faye Ewing and his huge Hug Fan Club.  Don was born, raised and graduated HS in Johnson City, NY.  He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a retiree of the Johnson City Department of Public Works.  He was an avid golfer, where he was noted in the newspaper as a hole-in-one recipient during his golfing career, a career that extended beyond 80 years of age.  His quick wit was matched by no other, which made him one of a kind.  His mission in life was to make everyone smile that crossed his path.  He was an avid believer in daily doses of hugs and smiles, the gift he felt uplifted peoples' lives.  He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a special friend to hundreds who will miss him dearly.  Each and every friend had a special place in his heart.  A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton.  The Mikulski's will welcome friends and family at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass at 10:00 AM.  Inurnment will be in Slovak Catholic Cemetery.   Please forward condolences to Keira Williams, 3816 Ingram Dr., Raleigh, NC 27604.  Arrangements by Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc.
